Field Application Scientist – Clinical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• The Field Applications Scientist (FAS) is an essential member of Miltenyi’s Commercial Sales team, serving a pivotal role in ensuring customer success across flow cytometry, imaging, and clinical cell and gene therapy manufacturing platforms.

• Work in collaboration with sales team members to grasp customer needs and develop suitable technical solutions.

• Conduct onsite and virtual product demonstrations for instruments and applications, including seminars, workshops, and “lunch and learn” sessions.

• Serve as the primary field technical support for designated instrument portfolios, offering onsite installation assistance and initial training for end-users.

• Deliver prompt responses to customer technical inquiries, troubleshooting issues both remotely and onsite, in partnership with Technical Support, Field Service Engineers, and other internal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline (Biology, Immunology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field).

• At least 5 years of pertinent experience in biological sciences, cellular therapy, flow cytometry, microscopy/spatial biology, or a related area.

• Practical experience with one or more of the following domains is required: cellular therapy/cell and gene therapy, flow cytometry, or microscopy/spatial biology.

• Customer-facing experience in field applications, technical support, or similar roles is highly preferred.

• Experience in clinical or regulated environments is an added advantage where applicable.
