Principal AI Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy AI systems in alignment with the approved Iovance AI roadmap.

• Create and implement production-quality Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.

• Build, maintain, and operate evaluation harnesses for AI systems.

• Design and execute integrations between AI systems and Iovance enterprise platforms.

• Oversee and maintain LLM security controls for production AI solutions.

• Design, develop, implement, and sustain AI agents.

• Establish and maintain contemporary engineering practices for AI development.

• Conduct hands-on technical assessments of AI vendors, tools, and Foundation Models.

• Implement and manage technical controls for production AI systems.

• Create technical documentation tailored to the system's risk tier.

• Provide mentorship to junior engineers involved in AI projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in software and/or AI/ML engineering.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) in production settings.

• Practical experience across various frontier model families.

• Strong foundational knowledge in software engineering.

• Hands-on, proactive builder mindset.

• Proven production experience with AWS data and AI services is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with enterprise search and retrieval services.
