Principal AI Researcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Conduct research to discover and apply new AI technologies and methodologies within Veracode’s product offerings.

• Design and execute experiments to assess the effectiveness of AI technologies through proof of concepts (PoCs).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate AI solutions into current products and systems.

• Remain informed about industry trends and advancements in AI research and technology.

• Mentor and provide guidance to researchers and developers across various teams on AI techniques.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience in AI development.

• Demonstrable experience as an AI Researcher / Engineer, with a portfolio showcasing successful machine learning or AI projects.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.

• Familiarity with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques essential for AI / ML initiatives.

• Strong understanding of various machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, and neural networks.

• Solid knowledge of mathematical concepts related to AI, such as linear algebra, calculus, and statistics.

• Practical experience with Context Engineering, Fine-Tuning (e.g. LoRA), Retrieval-Augmented-Generation (RAG), Multi-Agent Patterns, or other GenAI techniques.

• Familiarity with AI / ML frameworks and tools like LangChain, Spring AI, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, Crew.AI, LangFuse, AWS Bedrock / SageMaker.

• Experience with version control systems like Git, facilitating effective collaboration and code management.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for effective problem-solving.
