PR Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Strategic communication: You will play a key role in shaping the perception and evolution of the V-Label by spearheading communications related to the label.

• Copywriting & editing: You will be responsible for crafting and refining press releases, media statements, guest articles, and other external communications (e.g., white papers).

• Internal advisory: You will provide guidance and support to colleagues in other departments regarding their communication tasks, prepare them for interviews, and accompany them to editorial meetings.

• Press relations: You will serve as the main point of contact for media representatives, managing written and phone inquiries in collaboration with the relevant teams.

• Network maintenance: You will actively cultivate existing journalistic relationships while continuously establishing new connections, including at industry events.

• Crisis communication: You will proactively identify potentially critical issues and take charge of implementing appropriate crisis communication strategies.

• Partnerships: You will design and coordinate collaborative efforts with media and other communication partners.

• Monitoring & analysis: You will diligently monitor and analyze media coverage and industry trends, define and adjust relevant KPIs, and prepare quarterly reports to evaluate PR performance.

• Data-driven work: You will collaborate closely with the ProVeg Research team to gather additional data sources, preparing communication-relevant information regarding the V-Label.

• Quality assurance: You will review and refine V-Label texts to ensure they are consistent with the overarching communication strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess a completed Master’s degree in Communication, PR, Journalism, Media Studies, or a similar qualification.

• You have several years of experience in press and public relations, preferably in an NGO or agency setting.

• You exhibit excellent German language proficiency, both written and spoken (C2).

• You demonstrate exceptional written communication abilities, creative thinking, and the capacity to produce stylistically confident texts for diverse target audiences.

• You are adept at managing media inquiries, even in sensitive situations.

• You work independently, are solution-oriented and client-focused, pay meticulous attention to detail, and can juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

• You excel in communication, intercultural competence, teamwork, and possess a passion for socially relevant topics.

• You are open to occasional travel within Germany for meetings.

• You appreciate remote work if you reside outside of Berlin.

• Advantageous: You maintain a network within the German media landscape.
