This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Engage in pioneering research within the fields of biomaterials, nanomedicine, and regenerative dentistry, contributing to research outcomes recognized internationally.
• Design, execute, and analyze laboratory-based investigations focused on functional scaffolds aimed at bone and craniofacial tissue regeneration.
• Conduct research, scholarly, or professional activities independently or collaboratively, enhancing the body of knowledge within the discipline.
• Cultivate and enhance independent research capabilities under the guidance of senior academic staff, with an increasing level of autonomy.
• Provide informal mentoring and guidance to students within the discipline when appropriate.
• Ensure that quality, standards, and excellence are upheld in all research endeavors and outputs.
• Perform administrative responsibilities and participate in faculty/school meetings.
• Foster a positive workplace culture that values and promotes diversity of thought, contributions, collaboration, excellence, and the achievement of outcomes.
• Maintain awareness of the University’s strategic agenda and actively contribute to its advancement.
• Play a role in shaping the strategic direction of the Faculty/School/Portfolio as outlined in the Faculty/School/Portfolio's Strategic Plan or equivalent.
• Undertake additional duties and contribute to projects appropriate to the classification level as required.
• PhD in biomedical engineering, dentistry, or a related field.
• An emerging network of academic, industry, and professional partners and stakeholders.
• A growing research profile in biomedical engineering and dental research, particularly in biomaterials and nanomedicine for tissue regeneration.
• Proven expertise in advanced material characterization, biomaterial development, or bioengineering methodologies.
• Demonstrated comprehension of the subject matter within the discipline.
• Experience in conducting original research and/or participating in scholarly activities.
