Bengali-English Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of ethics.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting (healthcare and medical).

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient/Bilingual/Native level of English and the target language (Bengali).

• Minimum of 1 year of interpreting experience.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.

• Computer specifications: Mac with MacOS 10.13 or Windows 10 or newer, Pentium or I3 processor, at least 4GB RAM (8GB recommended), a strong ethernet connection, internet speed of 4Mbps Download/Upload, and noise-canceling wired USB headsets.
