Portfolio Manager

📋 Description

• Strive to enhance the growth and profitability of Wave’s consumer and merchant Financial Service products throughout our markets.

• Gain a thorough understanding of customer engagement and behavior regarding the product suite, to derive insights that can be transformed into growth opportunities, spanning the customer lifecycle from acquisition to retention.

• Convert insights into actionable strategies by experimenting, testing, and rapidly scaling successful pilots in collaboration with the product, marketing, and growth teams.

• Establish frameworks to monitor and track key performance indicators, identifying trends that affect business performance.

• For the lending portfolio, ensure optimization of our underwriting approach (determining whom to lend to) and line assignment (deciding how much to lend).

• Conduct thorough analyses of the performance of each lending product against a comprehensive KPI scorecard, driving root cause analysis to determine what is functioning well and what requires optimization.

• Identify pertinent data sources to support risk modeling in markets where conventional sources, such as credit risk bureaus, may be limited.

• Formulate strategies for collections and recovery.

• Keep track of and analyze market and macroeconomic trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in lending within a portfolio management, credit risk, or commercial management role in the financial services or fintech sector.

• Experience with additional financial products such as savings, insurance, or payments is a significant advantage.

• Exceptional skills in data analysis and interpretation.

• Proven ability to create, implement, and monitor credit risk strategies, with experience leveraging non-traditional data sources to develop credit decisioning frameworks.

• A strong track record of operating across multiple markets or regions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
