Polish Linguist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Overseeing translation and copy-editing assignments

• Guaranteeing high-quality linguistic outputs for designated projects or accounts

• Liaising with freelancers and agencies

• Managing language resources

• Addressing terminology inquiries

• Working alongside clients and internal teams to improve workflow efficiency

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Translation, Applied Languages, Linguistic Studies, or a comparable mix of education and experience (a university degree in other fields plus 2 years of full-time translation experience; OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience)

• Native-level proficiency in the Polish language

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, across various registers

• Over 4 years of experience in translation, localization, editing, or content writing

• At least 2 years of experience in review

• Comprehensive understanding of the localization process

• Proficient in standard software such as Windows and Office applications

• Experienced with standard CAT tools, e.g., XTM, SDL Studio, as well as issue tracking and query management tools like JIRA

• Capability to quickly learn new localization tools and applications

• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

• Strong knowledge of terminology across two or more subject areas

• Ability to meet tight deadlines

• Skill in providing clear, concise, and constructive feedback

• Competence in effectively presenting information and addressing questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and linguists

• Ability to tackle practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Skill in interpreting various instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled form

• Willingness and ability to train or teach others and share knowledge

• Experience and willingness to engage positively with customers at various levels

• Ability to collaborate within a virtual team
