
Policy Development & Support Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support projects for policy directors and member engagement initiatives.
• Conduct research on a range of clean transportation subjects, including but not limited to: zero-emission vehicle policies (both state and federal), vehicle battery technologies, utility practices, ZEV infrastructure planning, and federal funding programs.
• Develop presentations, notes, and various materials for both internal and external meetings.
• Provide policy analysis and write reports, issue briefs, proposals, case studies of best practices, fact sheets, blogs, and more.
• Create internal newsletters focused on policy updates.
• Engage with members effectively.
• Must have completed at least three years of accredited college or university coursework toward a bachelor's degree in fields such as political science, public policy, environmental studies, communications, urban studies, transportation planning, sustainability, business development, or other related areas.
• Basic understanding of environmental, clean energy, and transportation policy.
• A self-motivated individual with a passion for policy, environmental science, decarbonization strategies, and an interest in clean energy technologies.
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to convey technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
• Experience in research and report writing, capable of navigating instructions, summarizing findings, and supporting managers with presentation materials.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective task management capabilities.
• Competent in communicating with various stakeholders and audiences.
• Capacity to work independently in a remote work setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint.
