Podcast Editor – Audio & Video

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Edit long-format podcast episodes ensuring audio clarity, visual coherence, pacing, and tone.

• Produce short video segments specifically designed for platforms like YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.

• Employ advanced post-production techniques, including sound design, transitions, captions, motion graphics, and color correction.

• Collaborate with producers and hosts to craft episode narratives and highlight key moments.

• Maintain structured editing workflows utilizing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Pro Tools, or DaVinci Resolve.

• Enhance each asset for better discoverability, including thumbnails, titles, metadata, and SEO.

• Utilize performance analytics to refine and boost content engagement and viewer retention.

• Simplify intricate technical subjects for professional audiences with clarity and style.

• Oversee multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, remote setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience editing podcasts and/or short-form videos for professional or B2B audiences.

• A robust portfolio showcasing full-length podcast edits and repurposed video clips (please provide links).

• Proficiency in video/audio tools such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Audition, etc.

• Strong understanding of platform-specific formats, pacing, and content styles.

• Capability to collaborate across teams and receive feedback constructively.

• Exceptional time management skills, keen attention to detail, and a process-oriented approach.

• Availability during U.S. business hours, with flexibility around EST deadlines.
