PLC Programmer – Commissioning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Programming and commissioning of PLC controls utilizing Siemens TIA Portal

• Commissioning and enhancing production lines and machinery

• Conducting functional, safety, and acceptance testing

• Diagnosing and resolving issues with PLCs, drives, and automation systems

• Providing support for production and optimizing existing systems

• Configuring and parameterizing servo drives and frequency converters (e.g., SINAMICS S120/G120)

• Integrating and interfacing with higher-level host systems, MES, and third-party systems

• Preparing and maintaining technical documentation

• Collaborating with project teams, clients, and other departments during the commissioning process

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in PLC programming or commissioning

• Strong knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal

• Experience in PLC programming or commissioning tasks

• Proficient in troubleshooting and fault analysis

• Good command of written and spoken English

• Willingness to undertake national and international project assignments

• Experience in the automotive industry, specifically with battery or e-mobility production lines (preferred)

• Knowledge of WinCC (preferred)

• Experience with SINAMICS S120 and G120 (preferred)

• Familiarity with Profinet, EtherCAT, and safety programming (preferred)

• Experience with highly automated production lines (preferred)

• Knowledge of MES/host system integration (preferred)

• Experience with vision, laser, or screwdriving systems (preferred)

• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work (preferred)
