This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Deliver virtual consultations and ongoing care to individuals suffering from migraines and other headache disorders.
• Analyze headache histories and provide diagnoses in accordance with ICHD-3 criteria.
• Create customized, evidence-driven treatment strategies, which may include preventive and acute pharmacologic therapies, neuromodulation devices, supplements, and integrative approaches.
• Review patient headache diary outcomes to assess treatment effectiveness and facilitate real-time adjustments to care.
• Participate in shared decision-making and educate patients on lifestyle factors such as sleep, nutrition, hydration, and physical activity.
• Collaborate with Haven’s operations, design, and engineering teams to enhance Haven’s telemedicine model and digital tools.
• Supervise and mentor a team of advanced practice providers (NP/PAs).
• Optionally, perform or oversee procedural headache care if desired (e.g., Botox, nerve blocks).
• MD or DO, licensed in California or Texas.
• Completed a Headache Medicine fellowship or obtained UCNS certification.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience treating patients with migraines and headache disorders.
• Approach patient care with compassion and empathy.
• Proficient in (or willing to oversee) procedures such as Botox for chronic migraines, nerve blocks, and trigger point injections.
• Comfortable in a virtual-first care environment, possessing excellent communication skills.
