This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Develop or assess expert-level prompts within specialized chemistry disciplines.
• Analyze model-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, clarity, usefulness, and appropriate management of chemistry-related topics.
• Detect incorrect explanations, unsupported assertions, absent scientific context, or unsafe response behaviors.
• Examine technical documents across various chemistry subfields.
• Categorize chemistry prompts, dialogues, and model outputs in accordance with established guidelines.
• Annotate technical materials based on scientific accuracy, safety considerations, and project-specific standards.
• Deliver clear written feedback that articulates evaluation decisions and pertinent scientific issues.
• Uphold consistency, precision, and professional judgment throughout submitted review tasks.
• Evaluate chemical safety, security, and the responsible management of dual-use information.
• Assess sensitive, hazardous, or safety-critical chemistry materials.
• Review content involving laboratory concepts, computational chemistry, synthesis-related reasoning, or specialized technical subjects.
• Completion or ongoing pursuit of a PhD in chemistry or a closely related discipline.
• Extensive expertise in one or more chemistry subfields, such as organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, medicinal, or computational chemistry.
• Relevant experience in chemical engineering, materials science, laboratory research, computational techniques, or technical chemistry evaluation.
• Strong scientific reasoning abilities and exceptional written communication skills in English.
• Sound judgment regarding chemical safety and the responsible management of sensitive scientific data.
• Capability to adhere to structured guidelines and consistently apply evaluation criteria.
• Ability to operate independently in a remote, project-based setting.
• Research experience involving laboratory techniques, computational methods, synthesis, chemical analysis, safety protocols, or technical scientific writing.
• Previous experience with AI or machine learning is optional.
• Research, coursework, or professional experience related to chemical safety, chemical security, synthesis, hazardous materials handling, or responsible scientific evaluation is advantageous.
• Experience in reviewing, grading, annotating, or red-teaming technical materials is a plus.
• Familiarity with evaluating scientific writing, technical explanations, research outputs, or model-generated responses is beneficial.
• Experience applying structured rubrics, safety guidelines, or content classification criteria is a plus.
• Eligible candidates should reside in the United States.
• Expected part-time commitment of approximately 15–25 hours per week, with potential flexibility up to 40 hours depending on project scope and availability.
• Fully remote with flexible scheduling options.
• Competitive hourly rates ranging from $55–$65.
