Personal Injury Reductions / Closing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the reductions process independently from the initial assignment to the completion of settlement.

• Negotiate medical provider balances, hospital liens, hospital bills, and various medical expenses to optimize client recoveries.

• Confirm PIP benefits, insurance coverage, and balances owed to providers.

• Implement effective negotiation tactics to enhance clients' net settlement amounts.

• Track reductions and proactively address any delays.

• Prepare and/or assess settlement statements and closing documentation.

• Validate the accuracy of settlement calculations and disbursements.

• Organize final settlement documentation.

• Ensure precise case documentation is maintained within Litify.

• Reach out to clients upon assignment.

• Clarify the reductions and settlement procedures.

• Provide proactive updates to clients at least bi-weekly.

• Address client inquiries promptly.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent experience in a role such as Plaintiff Personal Injury Reductions Specialist, Closing Specialist, Settlement Specialist, or a similar position within a Plaintiff Personal Injury law firm.

• Proficient in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).

• Proven experience in independently negotiating: Hospital liens, Hospital bills, Medical provider balances, and Medical bills.

• Experience in managing the entire reductions lifecycle from assignment to settlement.

• Background in preparing or reviewing settlement statements.

• Experience in coordinating settlement disbursements.

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, providers, insurance carriers, and lienholders.

• Experience in a KPI-driven, high-volume work setting.

• Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
