This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Deliver support during short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios arising from military requirements.
• Offer personal financial counseling and management services directly to military personnel and their families.
• Facilitate individual counseling sessions and educational opportunities focused on financial services.
• Create and provide accessible financial informational materials for service members and their families.
• Organize, promote, and conduct various Personal Financial Management classes and workshops.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• Applicants with an associate degree and four years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.
• Candidates with a high school diploma and six years of relevant experience may also be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of three years of experience in financial counseling is required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess fluency in English.
• If specified by the contract, bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is necessary.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation is essential.
• Must successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• One of the following certifications is required: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
