Personal Financial Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Deliver assistance during short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios arising from military requirements

• Offer a comprehensive range of personal financial counseling services to military personnel and their families

• Aid service members in creating a financial plan for extended periods of absence

• Develop and distribute informational financial resources to service members and their families

• Organize, promote, and conduct various Personal Financial Management classes and workshops

• Address requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars

• Effectively implement virtual counseling or other electronic communication methods

• Manage duty to warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines

• Engage with leadership and take part in regular supervision

• Participate in ongoing in-service training, quality improvement committees, or other assigned contract activities

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required

• Candidates with an associate degree and 4 years of experience may be considered in place of a bachelor's degree

• Candidates with a high school diploma and 6 years of experience may be considered instead of a bachelor's degree

• A minimum of 5 years of financial counseling experience is necessary

• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess fluent English language skills

• If stipulated by the contract, must be bilingual in English and Spanish

• Must be capable of obtaining a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation

• Must successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process

• Must hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
