Personal Financial Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver personal financial counseling services to military personnel and their families.

• Provide education and guidance on financial services through individualized counseling sessions.

• Create and distribute informative financial resources.

• Organize, promote, and conduct various Personal Financial Management classes.

• Employ virtual counseling or other electronic communication methods.

• Engage in regular training sessions and participate in quality improvement committees.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• Applicants with an associate degree and four years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.

• Candidates with a high school diploma and six years of relevant experience may also be considered instead of a bachelor's degree.

• A minimum of three years of experience in financial counseling is required.

• Applicants must be U.S. citizens and possess fluent English language skills.

• Candidates must be capable of passing a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.

• One of the following certifications is required: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
