This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Evaluate current practices of members’ automotive shops and suggest enhancements based on ATI’s best practices and techniques.
• Coach, consult, train, and mentor independent repair shop owners to help them reach their business objectives.
• Support members through ATI’s 48-month re-engineering program and alumni initiatives.
• Attend to shop owners’ requirements and communicate via phone, Zoom, and email.
• Analyze financial statements, assess competitors, and scrutinize business practices.
• Create business models or recommendations and present them to clients.
• Achieve or surpass ATI targets, including client ROI, CSI scores, customer satisfaction, report cards, road maps, and alumni conversion rates.
• Maintain regular client communication and ensure class participation.
• Track members’ program progress and align their needs with their desires.
• Complete startup and client agreement documentation and keep weekly client notes updated.
• Provide research and content for articles, training materials, and classroom use.
• Engage in coaches meetings, company meetings, one-on-ones, classes, peer performance groups, podcasts, owner events, presentations, and trade shows.
• Participate in shop owner dinner events, SuperConference, and other industry-related gatherings.
• Manage calendar and time effectively.
• At least 10 years of total automotive experience.
• Strong emphasis on service writing, shop management, operations management, or prior shop ownership.
• Preferably have experience in the independent, non-dealer aftermarket sector.
• Experience in operations management, ideally within an aftermarket chain with established internal frameworks and processes.
• Outstanding coaching and mentoring capabilities.
• Strong understanding of the automotive business landscape.
• Ability to influence others through phone and video conferencing.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience teaching, instructing, and mentoring small business owners or employees.
• Clear comprehension of the challenges faced by independent shop owners.
• Proven track record in consultative management, people development, and business management.
• Prior success in an organization that sets monthly objectives.
• Proficient in computer applications, especially Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is advantageous.
• Strong sales skills are highly preferred.
• Experience in accounting or P&L management.
• Background in marketing and online/social media.
• Excellent writing abilities; interest in article writing is a plus.
• Solid understanding of recruiting and retaining high-quality staff.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills.
• Capability to persuade business owners to implement significant changes and paradigm shifts.
