This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Provide clients with information regarding insurance benefits, coverage choices, and their financial obligations for services received.
• Meet with clients to discuss payment alternatives, including those who are uninsured, underinsured, or commercially insured.
• Aid clients in applying for Medicaid, various insurance programs, financial aid, and other available assistance.
• Assess eligibility and apply for grants, funding options, and sliding scale fee programs as needed.
• Manage referrals, advanced beneficiary notices (ABNs), and other necessary financial documentation.
• Deliver compassionate and professional customer service while addressing financial inquiries and concerns.
• Create customized payment plans based on clients' financial circumstances and oversee compliance.
• Gather self-pay balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Accurately record client payments and reconcile daily cash and payment transactions.
• Analyze aging reports and proactively reach out regarding outstanding balances.
• Assist with collection efforts for clients recently discharged from care.
• Engage in collections review meetings and support the assignment of accounts to external collection agencies when necessary.
• Assist throughout all stages of the collections process while fostering positive relationships with clients.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare administration, patient financial services, medical billing, insurance verification, or revenue cycle management.
• Familiarity with insurance benefits, Medicaid eligibility, patient collections, and management of payment plans.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR), billing systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Capable of handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Relevant work experience is required.
• Ability to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check prior to onboarding [mandatory].
• Must be available for video meetings with the camera on (when required).
• Access to a reliable laptop or desktop computer.
• High-speed internet connection (minimum of 25 Mbps).
• Noise-canceling headset.
• Webcam for virtual meetings.
• A quiet and professional workspace is essential.
