This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist patients during outpatient, inpatient, and ambulatory surgery visits by thoroughly explaining complex commercial and government insurance policies and benefits.
• Evaluate intricate financial circumstances and identify suitable program eligibility for both public and private options.
• Collaborate closely with patients to finalize the application process and gather verifications for various financial assistance programs, including Charity, HCAP, and Medicaid.
• Generate precise estimates, gather deposits, and establish payment plans.
• Partner with clinical teams, including senior hospital administration, to enhance discharge planning or ongoing treatment programs when financial needs are recognized.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Proficient in PC usage and possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• A minimum of 6 months of experience in customer service or a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with Windows, Excel, and internet/intranet navigation tools is essential.
