This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Arrange appointments for patients regarding diagnostic tests, surgeries, therapies, physician consultations, and various procedures/treatments.
• Gather and confirm demographic and insurance details.
• Register patients and input information into the scheduling system.
• Operate in a call center-type setting.
• Achieve individual quality performance metrics.
• Deliver professional, empathetic, and welcoming service to patients of all ages, their families, staff, physicians, and community members.
• High School diploma, certificate, GED, training, or equivalent experience.
• Successfully complete and pass the Patient Access training course.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
• Capability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Team-oriented.
• Compassionate, possessing excellent customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is preferred.
• Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and EMR software.
• Proficient typing skills.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage frameworks, including compliance guidelines for medical necessity.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is advantageous.
