• Establish and nurture robust relationships with partner technical teams at various levels, gaining insights into their capabilities, objectives, and focus on the public sector.
• Align and implement the technical facets of collaborative business and partner development strategies.
• Create and position joint solutions that utilize NetApp products and services to meet Federal and SLED use cases.
• Provide NDA and enablement materials; assist partners in participating in conferences, briefings, and public-sector events.
• Advocate for partner technical skills within NetApp, ensuring alignment with NetApp product and solution priorities.
• Empower and activate partner sales and technical teams with the latest NetApp solutions, architectures, and messaging.
• Organize technical enablement plans for partners, encompassing certifications, competencies, and preparation for public-sector opportunities.
• Sustain strong relationships with NetApp technical leadership, Solutions Architects, and subject matter experts.
• Assist partners in recognizing and validating NetApp opportunities within Federal and SLED accounts.
• Aid NetApp sellers in identifying and positioning partner offerings as part of cohesive account strategies.
• Contribute to pipeline generation efforts centered on partner-originated and partner-influenced pipelines.
• Actively identify, qualify, and cultivate new collaborative opportunities with partners.
• Facilitate joint account mapping, pursuit planning, and technical strategy discussions between NetApp and partner teams.
• Support partners through intricate, long-cycle public-sector sales processes, sharing knowledge and technical expertise as necessary.
• Help drive incremental partner-influenced bookings across land and expand opportunities.
• 1–3+ years of experience in a technical, sales, or partner-facing position within Federal and/or SLED sectors.
• Preferred experience with VARs, resellers, integrators, or channel partners.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Basic understanding of public-sector considerations such as compliance-driven environments, lengthy procurement cycles, and solution validation.
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven capacity to collaborate with large groups, influence outcomes, and support intricate sales efforts.
• Willingness and ability to travel to partner offices, customer locations, and industry events as needed.
• Demonstrated capability to proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with a strong “hunting mentality.”
• Technical expertise in storage, compute, networking, virtualization, cloud, and hybrid-cloud environments, particularly relating to public-sector workloads.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of personas, including partner executives, technical teams, sellers, and customers.
• Insight into partner business models, public-sector markets, and the role of partners within NetApp’s ecosystem.
• Understanding of sales processes and motivators for both internal and partner sales teams.
• Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, business-relevant messaging.
• Proficient in navigating and resolving complex technical and business challenges while maintaining strong relationships.
• Collaborative, cross-functional mindset with the capability to influence without authority.
