Part-Time Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Edit raw footage into top-notch, social-first video content across various formats, styles, and tones.

• Primarily produce short-form content tailored for Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

• Edit corporate videos, talking-head segments, lifestyle content, interiors, and brand materials.

• Deliver edits promptly while upholding a high standard of quality.

• Create basic motion graphics, which include end cards, lower thirds, text animations, and simple animated elements.

• Implement colour grading and audio mixing as necessary.

• Collaborate with the creative team to ensure edits align with brand tone and best practices for each platform.

• Oversee multiple projects and meet deadlines within a 3-day work week.

• Independently organize and prioritize workload in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Occasionally work on longer-form video projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in editing video content specifically for social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

• A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality short-form social video editing.

• Experience in corporate, talking-head, lifestyle, interiors, and visually engaging brand content.

• Capability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining superior standards.

• Basic skills in motion graphics, including lower thirds, end cards, and simple animated elements.

• Working knowledge of colour grading and audio mixing techniques.

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve is essential.

• Experience with After Effects is a plus.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines autonomously.

• Reliability during agreed UK working hours, with a flexibility of up to one hour on either side.

• Willingness to adapt to different 3-day schedules based on content needs.

• Previous experience in a fast-paced agency or high-volume content environment is beneficial.

• Editors using only CapCut will not be considered.
