Part-Time Construction Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Act as the representative of Ducks Unlimited on construction initiatives.

• Conduct inspections to ensure contractor adherence to plans, specifications, and standards.

• Create inspection reports and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

• Utilize surveying equipment to support construction surveys.

• Assist Regional Engineers and Technicians with various administrative tasks.

• Implement wetland, riparian, and related habitat restoration projects alongside a regional conservation team in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in the construction industry.

• Familiarity with project administration, construction inspection, and materials testing methodologies and techniques.

• Understanding of heavy construction work methods, practices, materials, and equipment.

• Experience and expertise in construction surveying techniques, including GPS.

• Capability to assist with design and construction surveys.

• Proven ability to collaborate with public and private conservation partners.

• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

• Competence in operating ATVs and outboard boats in diverse environments.

• Self-driven and goal-oriented.

• Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours.

• Willingness to operate independently with minimal supervision in remote settings.

• Readiness to travel out of town and stay overnight regularly.

• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.

• Must reside in Central to South Florida.
