This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Engage in structured training that covers various insurance policies, claim procedures, systems, and protocols.
• Assess, investigate, and document first-party property claims while under close supervision.
• Collect information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party service providers.
• Examine and appraise pertinent facts and documents, such as leases, contracts, and bylaws.
• Determine and apply coverage for building damages in accordance with policy specifications.
• Define the extent of building and contents damages for both written and computer-assisted estimates.
• Communicate promptly and professionally with customers, claimants, and internal stakeholders.
• Keep precise records of claim activities in claim management systems.
• Adapt to new technologies, system upgrades, and the introduction of digital tools.
• Engage in the Catastrophe Response Program, which may involve deployment to assist customers in other states.
• Access and inspect all areas of properties and structures, including roofs, attics, crawl spaces, and confined spaces.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED along with one year of experience in customer service.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is considered an ideal qualification.
• Prior internship or work experience in customer service or the insurance sector.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license as required by state regulations.
• A valid driver's license is necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Openness to learning claims management and estimating software.
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions within established guidelines.
• Outstanding customer service abilities.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills; capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
• Basic conflict resolution skills and a willingness to learn negotiation techniques.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, especially regarding AI and digital transformation.
• Capability to lift, set up, and climb a 38–49-pound ladder, walk on roofs, and access tight spaces.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain necessary insurance licenses and/or UAS Remote Pilot Certification; generally required insurance licenses should be obtained within three months of employment commencement.
• Willingness and capability to reside in or relocate at personal expense to the designated territory.
