OTM Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive implementation and support of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) projects.

• Collect and evaluate business requirements pertinent to transportation and logistics operations.

• Configure and deploy OTM modules and associated business processes.

• Develop transportation planning solutions, including shipment consolidation, route optimization, and load planning.

• Set up configurations for: Rate Management, Itinerary Management, Carrier Management, Service Providers, Order Release Management, Shipment Planning, Fleet Management, and Business Process Automation Agents.

• Establish transportation networks, locations, regions, and routing guides.

• Configure and oversee freight rating, freight payment, and freight settlement processes.

• Design and maintain integrations between OTM and external systems using XML, REST APIs, SOAP, and integration middleware.

• Set up event management, tracking, visibility, and exception handling procedures.

• Assist in testing activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and performance testing.

• Diagnose production issues and deliver continuous application support.

• Produce functional specifications, configuration documents, and user training resources.

• Partner with business users to pinpoint process enhancements and optimization opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in the implementation and support of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).

• Extensive hands-on experience with: Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), Transportation Planning, Freight Management, Carrier Management, and Logistics Execution.

• In-depth understanding of: Transportation Lifecycle Management, Freight Rating and Routing, Shipment Consolidation, Load Planning, Freight Settlement, Tendering Processes, Transportation Visibility, and Logistics Operations.

• Proven experience in configuring: Rates and Rate Records, Itineraries, Locations and Regions, Service Providers, Equipment Profiles, Agent Actions, and Automation Workflows.

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Educational background: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Oracle Transportation Management Certification is preferred.
