This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Montana.
• Conduct inspections of underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities to ensure adherence to client standards and regulations.
• Execute audits, inspections, and pole transfers as necessary.
• Record inspection results electronically or manually utilizing printed spreadsheets.
• Employ mapping and GPS technology to identify and confirm plant infrastructure.
• Maintain communication with client and vendor management through email and cellular phones.
• Collaborate with construction crews, vendors, and client stakeholders.
• Travel to field locations as required, which may include some overnight stays.
• Keep detailed records of inspections, audits, and corrective measures taken.
• Recognize issues and direct corrective actions to promote project success, network reliability, safe construction, and timely completion.
• Prior experience conducting NESC inspections or working with an aerial cable line crew.
• Experience in performing ground line inspections on wooden poles.
• Knowledge of OSP Construction Standards.
• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
• Competence in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Preference for familiarity with Microsoft MapPoint, though not mandatory.
• Ability to navigate the internet and utilize web-based applications comfortably.
• Strong skills in communication, organization, and time management.
• Experience overseeing construction contractors on-site.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel on short notice.
• Must live within one hour of Butte or the nearby area.
