This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Manage patient records and coordinate appointments using IDX
β’ Answer phone calls, welcome patients, confirm billing details, and organize charts for office visits
β’ Aid in clinical evaluations, including visual acuity, applanation pressures, patient history, keratometry, autorefraction, color vision, stereopsis, and EYESYS
β’ Educate patients on correct contact lens maintenance and the processes for insertion/removal
β’ Adjust and/or polish contact lenses as needed
β’ Oversee the inventory of materials and sanitize instruments
β’ Keep examination rooms organized and stocked
β’ Offer both administrative and technical support to an ophthalmologist
β’ High school diploma or equivalent certification, or a combination of education and experience
β’ Minimum of 2 years experience in a medical office environment
β’ Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
β’ Online BLS certifications that do not include a skills assessment are not acceptable
β’ Strong communication skills
β’ Proficiency in computer use
β’ Familiarity with medical terminology
β’ Effective organizational skills
β’ Commitment to patient care
β’ A driver's license is not necessary
β’ Successful completion of relevant pre-employment screening
