This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary responder for critical operational incidents, such as unexpected extended downtimes, significant blow molding or downstream equipment failures, major line startup or restart failures, chronic defects, scrap issues, or throughput crises.
• Be prepared to travel to any U.S. or Canadian plant at a moment's notice to evaluate conditions, stabilize operations, and implement immediate corrective actions.
• Serve as the on-site technical leader during escalation events, collaborating directly with Plant Managers, Operations Leaders, and Maintenance Leaders.
• Lead comprehensive root cause analyses and ensure that corrective actions are not only implemented but also verified and maintained.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance across both maintenance and production systems.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control-related issues directly on the plant floor.
• Support the execution of corrective actions in conjunction with plant teams, rather than just focusing on design.
• Manage major PM/Overhaul projects.
• Operate the Blow Mold production line during emergency situations.
• Develop sustainable technical capabilities among operators and maintenance technicians.
• Deliver practical, floor-based training (one-on-one or in small groups) across maintenance and production disciplines.
• Identify recurring issues and systemic gaps that affect safety, quality, cost, or delivery.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, PPE, and environmental regulations during all intervention and recovery activities.
• Document root causes, corrective actions, and lessons learned from each deployment.
• 6–10 years of experience in a high-output plastics manufacturing environment, with substantial exposure to bottle processing operations.
• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in maintenance and/or production technical roles.
• Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting blow molding systems and downstream bottle processing equipment.
• Proven capability to lead effectively under pressure during unexpected operational events.
• Strong decision-making abilities, with the capacity to assess incomplete information in fast-paced environments.
• Willingness and capability to be actively involved on the plant floor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in manufacturing settings.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience in leading multi-site or organizational-level technical initiatives is preferred.
• Exposure to budget and cost management is preferred.
• Experience in leading cross-functional operations and maintenance teams is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without formal authority is preferred.
