Operational Risk Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and uphold the Operational Risk Management Framework in accordance with BACEN regulations.

• Recognize, evaluate, and oversee operational risk exposures, particularly in fraud and IT-related processes.

• Create and validate AI/ML models for fraud detection, anomaly recognition, and quantification of operational risk.

• Construct and sustain AI agents to streamline operational risk workflows, including loss event tracking, KRI monitoring, and incident reporting.

• Set up and oversee Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) for continuous risk monitoring.

• Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and Compliance teams to incorporate risk controls into product and process development.

• Execute scenario analyses and stress tests to assess operational resilience and guide management decisions.

• Generate comprehensive and insightful risk reports and dashboards for senior management and regulatory stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of BACEN operational risk regulations (Res. BCB 265/2022, Res.4.557/2017, Circ.3.978/2020, and associated standards).

• Extensive understanding of the payments ecosystem, including operations of acquirers, sub-acquirers, and issuers.

• Demonstrated experience in fraud prevention and detection throughout the complete fraud lifecycle — onboarding, monitoring, disputes, and recovery.

• Proficiency in developing and validating machine learning (ML) and AI models for fraud and risk management.

• Strong programming and data analysis skills (Python, SQL, R) for scenario simulation, model validation, and automation tasks.

• Capability to design and implement AI agents to automate risk management processes.

• Familiarity with IT and cybersecurity risk frameworks (NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001) and their integration into operational risk practices.

• Experience in managing KRIs, RCSAs, and risk dashboards for management and regulatory reporting.
