Online Supervised Fieldwork Advisor – Early Childhood General Education Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Monitor each advisee for approximately 2-3 hours monthly in the field through recorded lessons or live Zoom sessions.

• Organize and facilitate online three-way meetings with advisees and their site supervisors and/or co-teachers as necessary.

• Conduct monthly one-on-one online meetings with each advisee.

• Lead a weekly online conference group during both the fall and spring semesters.

• Offer academic and certificate guidance aligned with degree requirements and college policies.

• Attend monthly program and departmental meetings.

• Join monthly advisor meetings.

• Assist graduate students in merging theory with practice, reflecting on their professional growth, and fostering professional learning communities.

• Aid in the development of graduate students' abilities as educators for young children, including those with disabilities.

• Engage in the broader activities of the graduate school through program, department, and advisor meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in development, psychology, special education, or a related field is required.

• Over five years of teaching experience with children and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

• Significant experience in early childhood education environments.

• A critical focus on access and equity issues for students with disabilities.

• Experience in providing reflective supervision to pre-service or in-service teachers is preferred.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
