This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Monitor each advisee for approximately 2-3 hours monthly in the field through recorded lessons or live Zoom sessions.
β’ Organize and facilitate online three-way meetings with advisees and their site supervisors and/or co-teachers as necessary.
β’ Conduct monthly one-on-one online meetings with each advisee.
β’ Lead a weekly online conference group during both the fall and spring semesters.
β’ Offer academic and certificate guidance aligned with degree requirements and college policies.
β’ Attend monthly program and departmental meetings.
β’ Join monthly advisor meetings.
β’ Assist graduate students in merging theory with practice, reflecting on their professional growth, and fostering professional learning communities.
β’ Aid in the development of graduate students' abilities as educators for young children, including those with disabilities.
β’ Engage in the broader activities of the graduate school through program, department, and advisor meetings.
β’ A Masterβs degree in development, psychology, special education, or a related field is required.
β’ Over five years of teaching experience with children and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
β’ Significant experience in early childhood education environments.
β’ A critical focus on access and equity issues for students with disabilities.
β’ Experience in providing reflective supervision to pre-service or in-service teachers is preferred.
β’ Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
