Online Special Education Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and deliver tailored instruction to students who receive special education and related services.

• Work collaboratively with related service providers and general education staff to implement necessary accommodations and modifications.

• Prepare and uphold IEPs, Prior Written Notices, and potentially evaluation documents in accordance with state and federal regulations.

• Organize and lead meetings throughout the special education process.

• Engage and collaborate with parents, staff, and administrative personnel regarding student planning and progress.

• Oversee the transition of new students eligible for special education and related services.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• 1 to 2 years of experience in special education.

• SPED certification, either provision or standard, including AZ Mild to Moderate or K-12 Cross-Categorical SPED.

• Certifications such as Moderate/Severe Disabilities K-12 or Intern/Alternative may be considered.

• Successful completion of a criminal history background check is necessary.

• Fingerprint clearance must be obtained in compliance with state regulations.

• Capability to perform standing, sitting, repetitive hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching.

• May be required to lift or move equipment weighing up to 15 pounds.
