Online English Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Instruct students globally through both group and private lessons.

• Conduct grammar webinars, writing classes, IELTS preparation sessions, personalized 1-to-1 lessons, group classes, and various other English programs.

• Teach courses assigned from a global product portfolio based on student interest and class availability.

• Provide fully online classes to students from diverse countries and backgrounds.

• Arrive punctually and remain accessible for scheduled classes.

• Create engaging, supportive, and effective learning experiences.

• Exhibit strong teaching practices and respond positively to feedback and coaching.

• Maintain a professional demeanor with students and colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed Matric / Grade 12 certificate.

• Bachelor's degree.

• 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate OR CELTA.

• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Professional, dependable, and student-centered approach.

• Intel Core i5/i7 or AMD Ryzen 5/7 processor or an equivalent.

• Minimum 8GB of RAM; 16GB is preferred.

• SSD storage.

• Full HD display.

• HD webcam.

• Quality headset and microphone.

• Reliable fibre/broadband internet connection.

• Minimum download and upload speeds of 25 Mbps.

• LAN cable connection required for teaching.

• Reliable backup power solution, including a UPS that provides approximately 4–5 hours of backup power and a mini-UPS for the fibre router.

• A quiet, professional, and dedicated workspace.

• Suitable lighting and a professional teaching environment.

• Minimal background noise and distractions.
