Online Adjunct Faculty

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Share knowledge, enhance career skills, and cultivate professional attitudes in a virtual learning setting

• Guide and facilitate significant learning of course competencies

• Teach online classes as assigned by the Online HITM Program Director

• Support the Program Director with current students and assist the Admissions Department with potential students

• Participate in practicum site assessments and collaborate with Career Services

• Aid in the development, management, teaching, and support of HITM continuing education initiatives

• Oversee the online classroom to ensure an optimal learning experience

• Counsel students on their academic progress

• Provide career education through student-focused instruction

• Foster a culture of learning, shared responsibility, lifelong education, diversity, ethics, and both personal and professional growth

• Conduct instructor observations and perform 30-Day and Quarterly classroom evaluations

• Deliver competency-driven, student-centered online instruction

• Facilitate student exit competencies and promote student achievement

• Connect industry experience to the learning process

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess one of the following credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCP

• Relevant professional experience directly associated with HITM online courses and in accordance with CHCP regulatory standards

• Successful completion of the CHCP Online Faculty Orientation course

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities

• Strong critical thinking and decision-making capabilities

• Proven teaching skills evidenced by previous teaching evaluations

• Openness to working in a fast-paced learning environment

• Availability to work online with students five out of seven days a week

• Must respond to students’ individual inquiries within 24 hours of receipt

• Responsible for ensuring a stable Internet Service Provider connection
