This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Accountable for requesting, following up, securing, and validating authorizations/referrals/notifications using the appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes, adhering to the required timelines for Radiation Oncology and/or Oncology Infusion.
β’ Responsible for managing patient flow, ensuring timely processing, and maintaining knowledge of practices utilized within the department/physician practice/hospital to address patient inquiries or concerns.
β’ Keep abreast of insurance requirements, BHSF pricing, financial assistance options, and the overall operations of the BHSF Revenue Cycle.
β’ Uphold the Baptist Health philosophy of service excellence by delivering professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, their families, employees, physicians, and community members.
β’ Preferred: Associate's Degree with 3 years of experience in validating/obtaining authorizations with insurance payers, or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
β’ Completion of Association of Community Cancer Center, Prior Authorization On-Demand Webinars within 3 months of hire, with annual updates required.
β’ Successful completion of the Patient Access training course.
β’ Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and perform basic mathematical computations.
β’ Desired: Familiarity with healthcare regulatory guidelines, including but not limited to HIPAA, AHCA, and EMTALA.
β’ Knowledge of authorization guidelines specific to Radiation Oncology/Oncology Infusion.
β’ Understanding of insurance contracts, medical terminology, authorizations, and pre-certifications.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office products and EMR applications.
β’ Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole.
