Occupational Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assess patients' functional capabilities and home settings to determine their needs and safety issues.

• Create individualized treatment strategies and share them with physicians and the care team.

• Instruct and help patients regain daily living skills impacted by health conditions or injuries.

• Suggest and provide guidance on adaptive tools, splints, and prosthetic/orthotic devices.

• Keep precise clinical documentation and quickly inform relevant parties about any changes in patient status.

• Collaborate with the larger care team to deliver integrated, patient-focused care.

• Educate family members and caregivers regarding the patient’s treatment plan.

• Oversee Occupational Therapy Assistants and manage home health aide services when OT is the exclusive skilled service.

• Assist in discharge planning as patients move out of home health care.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed for patient services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate of an occupational therapy program accredited by both the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.

• Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.

• Active Occupational Therapy license in California.

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in occupational therapy.

• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

• A valid driver's license, a reliable insured vehicle, and the willingness to travel to patient homes.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
