Nutritionist – CA Licensed, Fully Virtual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver completely virtual medical nutrition therapy (MNT) through a secure telehealth platform.

• Perform detailed nutrition assessments, taking into account dietary habits, lifestyle elements, and clinical background.

• Create and execute personalized nutrition care plans informed by provider diagnoses and evidence-based guidelines.

• Assist patients in managing chronic and preventive health issues, including:

• Diabetes and prediabetes.

• Obesity and weight management.

• Cardiometabolic issues (hypertension, dyslipidemia).

• Gastrointestinal disorders.

• Endocrine-related nutritional concerns (thyroid disease, PCOS, metabolic syndrome).

• Provide nutrition counseling, establish goals, and offer continuous education to promote lasting behavior change.

• Evaluate laboratory results, clinical documentation, and care plans to inform treatment suggestions.

• Accurately and promptly document all patient interactions within the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Collaborate remotely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical care teams.

• Follow telehealth best practices, HIPAA regulations, and internal clinical protocols.

• Keep active licensure and comply with California regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in clinical or outpatient nutrition.

• Previous experience in telehealth or remote clinical settings is preferred.

• Strong understanding of evidence-based medical nutrition therapy and chronic disease management.

• Comfortable providing care exclusively in a virtual clinical setting.

• Outstanding communication, documentation, and patient engagement skills.

• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a remote, multidisciplinary team.

• Proficient in EMR systems and telehealth platforms.

• Reliable internet connection and a private workspace suitable for telehealth consultations.

• Bilingual skills are a plus.
