Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver suitable assessment and care to patients within a virtual clinic setting.

• Operate autonomously in diagnosing conditions, prescribing medications, conducting or requesting diagnostic tests and treatments, evaluating treatment effectiveness, and providing follow-up care.

• Offer comprehensive and holistic nursing care to clients, encompassing health promotion, as well as injury and illness treatment and prevention.

• Perform in the capacities of practitioner, educator, and leader, adhering to provincial regulations.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals regarding matters beyond the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.

• Current licensure or willingness to obtain licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador.

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.

• Ideally, one year of recent experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner.

• Previous clinical experience will also be taken into account.

• Experience in emergency or urgent care is considered a valuable asset.

• Required knowledge of home and community health services for Family All Ages (FAA).

• Experience practicing in a rural environment is regarded as an advantage.

• Exceptional clinical assessment and decision-making skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proven capability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team setting.

• Must possess robust computer and technology skills necessary for delivering virtual care through technological means.

• Familiarity and skill with e-consult is a plus.

• A strong commitment to professional development.

• A genuine enthusiasm for telehealth and a belief in the advantages and opportunities it provides for patients and clients.

• A satisfactory background screening result.

• Must have a personal computer system equipped with two monitors, a USB headset, a webcam, and a high-speed internet connection to facilitate VPN access.
