Nurse Practitioner – Asynchronous Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Coverage Inbox, which includes addressing patient inquiries, follow-up requirements, and messages related to symptoms.

• Evaluate patient needs and direct messages appropriately.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers and other members of the care team.

• Deliver clear and supportive communication to patients, along with education and outlining next steps.

• Ensure timely and precise documentation of patient interactions and care plans.

• Review and manage asynchronous prescription and refill requests within the limits of licensure.

• Assess prescription requests for clinical suitability, accuracy, and safety.

• Examine flagged and critical lab results and incoming diagnostics.

• Initiate necessary clinical follow-ups and escalate urgent or complex findings as needed.

• Conduct same-day and next-day visits when a direct evaluation is required.

• Administer assessments, treatments, and patient education.

• Transition patients from asynchronous messaging to synchronous visits.

• Provide clinical assistance for evolving patient care and business requirements.

• Engage in project-based clinical work and initiatives aimed at enhancing care quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner licensure and prescriptive authority in at least five U.S. states, including California or New Jersey.

• Preference for additional active state licenses; strong inclination for candidates licensed in ten or more states.

• At least three years of clinical experience in independently managing perimenopause, menopause, and hormone replacement therapy.

• Experience in prescribing and adjusting dosages of estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone.

• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in evaluating, prescribing, and monitoring pharmacologic treatments for obesity, including GLP-1 agonists.

• At least three years of experience managing a longitudinal patient panel independently, including diagnostic ordering, lab review, and therapeutic planning.

• Minimum of three years of experience delivering synchronous telehealth in a remote, productivity-focused environment that is not clinic-based.

• Proficiency in using an EHR, video-conferencing software, clinical decision-support systems, AI scribe tools, Slack, and Notion simultaneously.

• Asynchronous patient-care experience is highly preferred.

• Ability to communicate clearly, compassionately, and effectively in a written-first clinical setting.

• Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential.

• A reliable and secure internet connection is required.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
