• Analyze current FireMon Rule Audit Reports and findings alongside the Customer Team (including Hit Counts, Unused Rules, etc).
• Establish a process for identifying Rule Owners and executing cleanup.
• Conduct a thorough review of Firewall Rules.
• Identify and document the current asset owner for each rule.
• For every rule, verify if the firewall rule is still necessary for all assets it covers (consulting the respective owners).
• For any rules that include assets no longer in production or policies that are obsolete, document the findings and arrange for change control to remove or clean up the rule from the existing firewall policy.
• Utilize existing Firewall Management Tools for discovery and maintenance/cleanup.
• Develop and document a process for validating rules in collaboration with Customer Team Members.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Network Security (Enterprise network experience is preferred).
• Possession of current CCNA Security, CCNP Security, or CCIE certification.
• Proficient and expert-level experience in Cisco ASA Configuration/Engineering (excluding FirePower).
• Strong and expert-level knowledge of Cisco Defense Orchestrator – Administration/Configuration.
• Solid experience in Routing and Switching with Firewalls.
• Experience in Firewall Rule Cleanup/Audit/Optimization on large deployments of 50 or more Firewalls.
• Familiarity with Splunk for auditing Firewall Deny Logs and similar tasks.
• Expert-level experience in Palo Alto Firewall Configuration/Engineering.
• User experience with Palo Alto Networks Panorama for centralized management.
• Certification as a Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate (PCCSA) or higher.
• Primarily a remote workforce (U.S. based only; some travel may be necessary for specific positions, and on-site work may be required for Federal roles).
