Network Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee enterprise network security measures.

• Configure and manage firewalls such as Fortinet, SonicWall, and Palo Alto.

• Establish and uphold VPNs, IPS/IDS, web filtering, NAT, ACLs, and segmentation protocols.

• Monitor security incidents utilizing SIEM, XDR, and SOC monitoring systems.

• Examine security breaches, conduct threat assessments, and assist in incident response efforts.

• Administer firewall policies, security regulations, and compliance frameworks.

• Apply Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and identity-driven security measures.

• Enhance cloud security strategies across AWS, Azure, and hybrid settings.

• Set up and maintain SD-WAN and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions.

• Perform vulnerability assessments and corrective actions.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to fortify enterprise environments.

• Keep security documentation, diagrams, SOPs, and audit logs updated.

• Engage in on-call rotations and manage critical incident responses.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to thrive in high-pressure situations.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficient documentation and reporting capabilities.

• A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Experience with one or more platforms: Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel, LogRhythm, ArcSight, Elastic SIEM.

• Familiarity with Firewall & Network Security technologies like Fortinet FortiGate, SonicWall, Palo Alto Networks, and Check Point (preferred).

• Expertise in VPN Technologies (IPSec / SSL VPN), IDS/IPS, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and NAC (Network Access Control).

• Understanding of SOC operations, threat hunting, and log correlation.

• Knowledge of Cloud & Infrastructure Security, including AWS Security, Microsoft Azure Security, and hybrid cloud networking.
