This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously and travel to different locations to deliver services.
• Repair a variety of equipment, machinery, and electronic devices.
• Minimum A+, N+ certification or an equivalent qualification along with practical experience.
• At least 3 years of Field Service experience.
• CCNA, FortiGate NSE certification or an equivalent qualification is a plus.
• A valid driver's license is essential.
• Exceptional communication and reporting abilities.
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Must be willing to adhere to the company’s security policies.
• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to work outdoors in the field is essential.
• Relevant vendor and product certifications, along with the necessary vocational training, must be completed.
• Proficient in computer hardware, software, and networking.
• Familiarity with operating systems, troubleshooting methods, and fundamental programming concepts.
• Capable of diagnosing and repairing hardware problems in computers, laptops, servers, and other IT equipment.
• Knowledge of component replacement and preventive maintenance practices.
• Experience in installing, configuring, and updating software applications and operating systems across various devices.
• Understanding of network configurations, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledge of IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and network cabling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective customer interaction, explanation of technical concepts, and provision of clear instructions.
• Strong customer-centric focus with the ability to address customer inquiries and complaints while providing timely and courteous support.
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet service-level agreements (SLAs) for on-site visits.
• Analytical and critical thinking abilities to resolve complex issues and implement suitable solutions.
