Network Engineer

📋 Description

• Play an active role in achieving team objectives.

• Diagnose basic issues and suggest suitable solutions.

• Engineering, deployment, and maintenance of the TNS Global IP backbone network.

• Provisioning of Ethernet-based services as outlined by the Metro Ethernet Forum.

• Design and support for routing protocols including BGP, ISIS, EIGRP, OSPF, and PIM.

• Design and support for WAN/LAN topologies.

• Design and support for MPLS systems.

• Design and support for Data Centers.

• Design and support for Load Balancers.

• Assessment and recommendations for vendors and hardware.

• Specifications for equipment/design to support budgetary planning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of design and operational experience in large-scale multiprotocol global IP/ISP networks.

• At least 4 years of expertise in TCP/IP and routing protocols including RSVP, LDP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, PIM, BFD, and Fast Reroute technologies.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the architecture and provisioning of MPLS networks and services, such as Traffic Engineering, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs, VPLS, Circuit Emulation, IPSec, VPNs, IP Multicast, and QoS/COS.

• More than 4 years of experience with layer-2 Ethernet technologies.

• At least 2 years of practical knowledge in Data Center design and operations.

• Proficient in current industry WAN technologies/products like SONET, SDH, TDM, and Metro Ethernet.

• Over 4 years of substantial hands-on experience in configuring, debugging, and resolving issues in complex Cisco and/or Juniper networks.

• Familiarity with command-line interfaces and adept in using various network monitoring and analysis tools such as SolarWinds, SPLUNK, and similar applications.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, with a Master’s degree preferred.

• Certification in relevant Cisco and Juniper technologies.
