Network Automation, AI Business Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Organize and lead both onsite and virtual workshops for customers, engaging executives, network leaders, architects, and operations teams.

• Convert business goals into actionable NetBrain use cases, automation strategies, and phased development roadmaps.

• Achieve stakeholder alignment on automation priorities, accountability, and governance.

• Present executive-level summaries that include findings, recommendations, and subsequent steps.

• Identify avenues to minimize operational workload, expedite troubleshooting, and enhance compliance.

• Formulate value hypotheses and success metrics.

• Measure business results and rank use cases based on impact, feasibility, and readiness.

• Create tailored adoption and value realization plans for customers; conduct regular value assessments and suggest adjustments to the roadmap.

• Document customer success narratives and encourage wider use of NetBrain capabilities.

• Evaluate network operations processes and outline requirements for runbooks, network intents, dashboards, and automation workflows.

• Offer architectural direction for automation in complex, multi-vendor settings.

• Work in conjunction with NetBrain architects and engineers to convert workshop results into technical specifications.

• Provide insights on integrations with ITSM, monitoring, and observability platforms; remain updated on new automation and AI technologies.

• Act as a trusted advisor to customer technology leaders and nurture stakeholder relationships.

• Establish governance, roles, and operational frameworks for automation initiatives; identify and assist in mitigating adoption risks.

• Maintain documentation and collaborate with Customer Success, Professional Services, Sales, Solution Engineering, and Product teams.

• Deliver structured feedback to Product and Engineering regarding customer requirements and market dynamics.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.

• Minimum of 8 years in enterprise networking, network operations, network automation, or infrastructure consulting.

• Relevant experience in a large enterprise context is essential.

• Proven ability to lead customer workshops, discovery sessions, or strategic planning meetings.

• Proficient in translating technical concepts into business terminology for both engineers and executives.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication capabilities are necessary.

• Capable of independently managing multiple engagements while collaborating with global, cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to travel to customer locations up to 40-50% within the designated territory.

• Familiarity with enterprise network architectures and protocols in multi-vendor environments, including routing/switching, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, VPNs, VLANs, firewalls, load balancing, wireless, data center, SD-WAN, and public cloud networking.

• Experience with network configuration management, compliance, vulnerability and lifecycle management, monitoring, observability, telemetry, and ITSM platforms like ServiceNow.

• Proficiency in REST APIs, JSON/XML/YAML, NETCONF/RESTCONF/YANG, Python, Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform, Git, CI/CD, and automated diagnostics, health checks, or remediation workflows.

• Understanding of automation design principles and the ability to collaboratively work with automation engineers and architects.

• Manual dexterity for repetitive computer tasks.

• Capability to remain seated for extended periods.

• Preferred qualifications include experience with the NetBrain platform, network architecture or automation leadership, technology consulting, AI applications in network operations, knowledge of ITIL practices, relevant certifications, and experience with global customers.

• Estimated base salary ranging from $140,000 to $180,000, in addition to a bonus.
