This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level applications utilizing .NET Core and Python.
• Create scalable backend services, REST APIs, web services, and microservices.
• Build and maintain microservices and cloud-native applications on Azure.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs between various applications and enterprise platforms.
• Utilize SQL Server and Azure SQL for data access, database development, query writing, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
• Engage in application architecture, technical design, code reviews, and setting development standards.
• Create unit tests and automated tests.
• Employ Azure DevOps for source-code management, work tracking, automated testing, CI builds, and deployment/release pipelines.
• Utilize Git for version control, including branching, merging, and collaborative development.
• Troubleshoot issues related to applications, APIs, databases, integrations, and production environments.
• Collaborate with architects, product teams, QA, DevOps, and other engineering groups.
• Participate in Agile practices such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Produce clean, maintainable, secure, and well-documented code.
• Over 7 years of software development experience with .NET / .NET Core.
• More than 4 years of experience in Python application development.
• At least 4 years of experience working with Azure-based microservices.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with SQL Server and/or Azure SQL.
• More than 5 years of experience using Azure DevOps, including repositories, work-item tracking, automated testing, CI builds, and release/deployment pipelines.
• Strong expertise in Git.
• Extensive experience in REST API and web service development.
• Experience in developing distributed or microservices-based applications.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, software engineering principles, and design patterns.
• Experience in debugging and supporting production-level applications.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Python experience should be focused on application/web/backend development; this role does not involve data engineering or data science.
