
National Clinical Research and Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate clinical research data to uncover trends, ensure data integrity, and support research goals.
• Make informed financial and business decisions based on intricate protocols and extensive financial forecasts.
• Aid in the negotiation of clinical research budgets with industry sponsors, federal entities, and private foundations.
• Conduct analyses of Medicare coverage and billing, implementing documented billing strategies for protocols.
• Review the financial management framework of clinical research initiatives.
• Assist in the creation, execution, and oversight of clinical research protocols and study methods.
• Maintain precise clinical research databases, ensuring the completeness and quality of study data.
• Generate reports, dashboards, summaries, and presentations for investigators, sponsors, and leadership teams.
• Support IRB submissions, regulatory documentation, and compliance activities related to studies.
• Monitor the progress of studies and adherence to budget constraints.
• Collaborate with physicians, investigators, research coordinators, statisticians, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and assist with internal audits.
• Track study milestones, participant enrollment, adverse events, protocol deviations, and research metrics.
• Manage and audit finances, including account reconciliation, reimbursements, expenditures, budget forecasts, invoicing, collections, and patient care costs.
• Safeguard confidential research records and protected health information.
• Suggest process enhancements to improve research quality, efficiency, and compliance.
• Mentor, coach, train, and educate stakeholders on clinical research billing regulations.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
• Occasionally work evenings or weekends to assist with research activities or meet deadlines.
• A Bachelor's degree.
• Two (2) years of experience in supporting clinical research, healthcare analytics, regulatory compliance, or research administration.
• Proficiency with research databases and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Understanding of clinical research methodologies, data management principles, and regulatory standards.
• Capability to make financial/business decisions grounded in complex protocols and long-term financial projections.
• Familiarity with fiscal planning and analysis principles and practices.
• Knowledge of federal governance standards, including FDA, NCI, OHRP, and Department of Health and Human Services standards.
• Awareness of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, HIPAA, and human subject protections.
• Ability to interpret clinical protocols, research regulations, and technical documentation.
• Proficient in analyzing financial data and protocols and creating contracts.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, project management, and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Competence in managing multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and research management software.
• Strong communication skills with investigators, research personnel, sponsors, and participants.
• Preferred: experience with clinical trial management systems such as Clinical Conductor.
• Preferred: knowledge of SAS, SPSS, R, or Python.
