
National Agricultural Land Network Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Oversee the maintenance and updates of the NALN member database
• Monitor NALN membership, activities, and metrics for both internal and external reporting
• Supervise and manage member access to the NALN online community platform
• Organize and coordinate NALN events including roundtables, webinars, workshops, conferences, and discussion groups
• Support the planning and logistics for the Saving America’s Working Lands national conference
• Provide technical assistance for NALN virtual events
• Enhance the functionality of the NALN Online Platform
• Maintain reporting and processes for the platform, including automations, metrics, and user experience
• Facilitate the movement of contracts and invoices through AFT’s administrative procedures
• Assist in the development and distribution of Network News
• Engage in NALN team planning and preparation meetings
• Collaborate with staff, interns, and consultants to ensure project completion successfully, on schedule, and within budget
• Foster a robust team culture centered on shared learning, innovation, and problem-solving
• Undertake other assigned responsibilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite applications including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Eagerness to learn new software and technological systems
• Strong skills in editing, writing, and proofreading
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain organization, and follow through with minimal supervision
• Effective and professional communication skills when interacting with the public and staff
• Detail-oriented and organized, committed to producing high-quality professional work
• Flexibility to work under occasional supervision as a part of the NALN team
• Commitment to gaining knowledge about American Farmland Trust and NALN programs and activities
• Willingness to engage in limited work-related travel
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS), or equivalent professional experience in office administration, operations, membership, contract or grant management, database management, or a related field
• Four years of relevant professional experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree
• Comfortable working in the Eastern Time Zone
• Knowledge and enthusiasm for agriculture and land conservation is advantageous
• Skills in event organization, planning, and implementation are a plus
