Mortgage Compliance Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure all loan files adhere to internal standards and compliance requirements.

• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain consistent quality control across all lending operations.

• Examine and audit loan files to confirm compliance with lending guidelines and ensure they are free from errors.

• Assist in tracking and resolving post-closing items promptly.

• Support fellow DFS team members in coordinating settlements with title companies and borrowers.

• Guarantee all loan files comply with Dominion Financial Services, LLC standards.

• Maintain all loan files and notify upper management of any files that are approaching or currently out of compliance.

• Aid in reviewing executed documentation for funding authorization, especially when the funder is absent.

• Analyze borrower financials, document relevant information, recommend approval amounts, and discuss the borrower knowledgeably.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the lending or mortgage sector.

• Prior experience in loan quality control, file auditing, or compliance review.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.

• Exceptional attention to detail, with a solid commitment to accuracy and quality.

• A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving, including a readiness to ask questions and conduct research as necessary.

• An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to achieve results, take ownership, and develop professionally.

• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the capability to communicate professionally both by phone and in person.

• Highly organized and adept at managing multiple priorities in a deadline-oriented environment.

• Sound judgment with the ability to identify, document, and escalate potential compliance issues appropriately.

• A collaborative team player who can work effectively across departments to resolve issues and uphold consistent quality standards.

• Previous experience with AI-powered tools is preferred, along with a willingness to learn and integrate new AI technologies into daily workflows.
