This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +8 more states.

• Tasked with contacting customers to secure payment for overdue mortgage accounts.

• May include advising customers on Loss Mitigation options.

• Listen to customers' narratives and devise a collection strategy; strive to obtain payments.

• Conduct collection calls and/or generate correspondence regarding agency-specific timelines.

• Create basic action plans, techniques, and strategies to reduce losses.

• Keep precise records of the outcomes of customer interactions in the automated collection system.

• Offer customer service support for fundamental collection issues.

• Possess strong knowledge of federal and state laws, along with all regulatory and servicing requirements related to debt collection.

• Aim to decrease delinquencies for assigned accounts.

• Engage management assistance when needed to expedite the collection process.

• Scan, file, and re-file reports and documents within the bank’s imaging system as it pertains to default services tasks performed.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the mortgage industry is required.

• At least 2 years of direct experience in Default/Collections.

• Must possess a working knowledge of mortgage documents and an understanding of the mortgage life cycle.

• The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of servicing agency loans: FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA/USDA.
