Monitoring Services Oversight Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for overseeing service vendors and functional service provider partners.

• Develop governance frameworks that ensure high-quality vendor performance and operational excellence.

• Coordinate resource strategies with vendor leadership to meet the needs for study and trial delivery.

• Track site activation, enrollment, data flow, and timeline commitments across clinical studies.

• Manage monitoring resources, training, quality assurance, timely data entry, and resolution of study-related issues.

• Lead performance management through the oversight of key performance and quality indicators.

• Raise compliance issues, performance deficiencies, and capability requirements to vendor leadership.

• Assist in audit readiness, inspections, and corrective actions related to vendor-managed activities.

• Collaborate with Clinical Project Managers to enhance site recruitment and monitoring efficiency.

• Recognize performance patterns and support focused development initiatives to elevate monitoring quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related scientific field.

• Extensive experience in clinical research, clinical operations, or monitoring oversight.

• In-depth knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, regulatory standards, and clinical trial execution.

• Experience in managing functional service provider or vendor relationships within clinical development.

• Proven ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders without direct authority.

• Strong grasp of clinical monitoring, site performance, and data quality metrics.

• Demonstrated capability to identify risks, resolve performance challenges, and drive ongoing improvements.

• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills in complex global settings.

• Experience in supporting global or regional clinical trial portfolios across various countries and stakeholders is preferred.

• Previous experience in audit preparation, regulatory inspections, or vendor governance programs within clinical development is a plus.

• Ability to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S., subject to legal entity restrictions.

• Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally 25–30% of the time.
